Captain Tommy Hanover was born in Bryan, Texas, and has been exploring the bays and estuaries of the coast of Texas all his life.



After serving his country in Southeast Asia as an Airborne Ranger, he returned home and worked cattle ranches as a cowboy and competed in steer wrestling in open rodeos for 8 years and in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeos for 12 years.

He has worked as a fishing guide in local waters for many years and later as a birding guide.


His boat is a 21’ Shoal Water Cat with a Yamaha 200 HP SHO engine, capable of adventuring into extremely shallow water and tight spaces.
